Black Sesame & Dark Chocolate Tart


A dramatic, moody tart with a nutty black sesame crust and velvety dark chocolate ganache.
Finished with flaky sea salt and edible gold leaf for a witchy, decadent finish.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup black sesame seeds, ground
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • For ganache: 1 cup heavy cream, 8 oz dark chocolate (70%), chopped
  • Flaky sea salt, edible gold leaf (optional)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crust ingredients into dough.
  • Press into a tart pan. Bake 15 min until set.
  • Heat cream until steaming. Pour over chocolate, stir until smooth.
  • Pour ganache into crust. Chill 2+ hours until set.
  • Finish with sea salt and gold leaf.
